Summary: Oversee, direct, and coordinate front of the house restaurant staff. Assist the restaurant management team with operations and training. Assist with resolution of guest concerns.
Job Duties:
Primary
- Ensures that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
- Assists in cash control and other receipts for the shift by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Supervises and participates in dining area cleaning activities.
- Investigates complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations and reports to management.
- Observes workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service and provides assistance to the management team for completion of disciplinary write-ups.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel.
- Performs some food preparation or service tasks such as packaging items, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks when necessary.
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
- Coordinates with and assists fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operations of the restaurant.
- Fills-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Supplemental
- Greet and seat guests, and present menus and wine lists.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
- Outgoing, pleasant personality, and a desire to please guests
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for at least 8 hours
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have reliable transportation
